Tri Counties Bank - 50th Anniversary 1975-2025

Celebrating 50 years of serving communities throughout California

What started in Chico 50 years ago, has taken us all around California. From the snowy peaks of Mt. Shasta to the warm shores of San Diego, we’re still the locals down the street – believing in people, first and foremost. As we look towards our 50th Anniversary and beyond, we continue to invest in our communities: helping neighbors, fulfilling dreams, and growing businesses.

As part of our 50th Anniversary initiative, Tri Counties Bank is partnering with the Foundation for California Community Colleges in support of their Student Ambassador Program, which trains students to be on-campus leaders through peer-to-peer outreach. Ambassadors connect fellow students to resources that ease barriers to education, provide hands-on application assistance to students in need, and reduce the stigma around getting help. This partnership will help students access food, housing, and other basic needs resources necessary to continue their education.

Tri Counties Bank has always been a part of my life. My dad was one of the first customers in 1975. As a young boy, I remember sitting in my father's station wagon (no seat belts!), driving through the Chico Park Plaza drive-thru and watching him deposit money through the "magic" tube. Fast forward 20 years to my first job here at the bank as a drive-thru teller! I have worked in many departments in the bank, and have seen the bank flourish when times were good and really pull through when times were bad. I am proud to work here, and appreciate all the support and guidance I have received as part of this amazing team.

"Part of being a community bank means being in our community and listening to our customers. It's what caring community banking is all about - taking the time to understand and to listen to our community partners, and then come alongside and provide solutions.”

Scott Robertson, Senior Vice President and Chief Community Banking Officer
