What parts of Tri Counties Bank’s mission do you connect with the most?
Working in Reg. E disputes, I feel I specifically connect most with our mission to improve the financial success and well-being of our shareholders and customers. I have the opportunity to protect the bank against false claims, while at the same time helping our customers recover funds from a multitude of fraudulent transactions. I find it quite rewarding to serve both our customers and shareholders.
What is the most unusual aspect of working at Tri Counties Bank?
I think the genuine care that the bank shows their employees, especially when disaster strikes. I had only been with the company for a few months when the Camp Fire pushed my children and me from our home. I had executives and heads of departments communicating with me and offering assistance. I have never been so well taken care of by a company in my life. I am truly grateful to be here, where we care about our employees and our communities.
What advice about career growth would you give a fellow employee?
Don't sell yourself short. Communication is key. Let your leaders know what career path you want to pursue - they'll help you achieve your goals. They want to see you succeed. Persevere through the challenges and hardships; your success lies just on the other side. Make your own health non-negotiable and always keep growing personally and professionally.
If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be, and what would you ask them?
I've thought about this question quite a bit. I would have dinner with Jesus. I would only ask him to share his thoughts with me.
