VITA Free Tax Preparation Services
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is an IRS initiative operated by local partners to provide free tax preparation services, including new and renewal applications for Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) holders. As an IRS partner, United Way of Fresno and Madera Counties has partnered with Tri Counties Bank to host VITA volunteers at the Tri Counties Bank Chowchilla branch, and Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK) has partnered to host VITA volunteers at the Tri Counties Bank Delano branch.
Tri Counties Bank is not a licensed tax professional and is not providing tax preparation services. All tax preparation services are being provided by Volunteer Income Tax Assistance through Community Action Partners of Kern or United Way of Fresno and Madera Counties.

VITA Free Intake Services
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is an IRS initiative operated by local partners to provide free tax preparation services to low to moderate-income individuals. As an IRS partner, VITA at JEDI, Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency, and United Way of Northern California have partnered with Tri Counties Bank to accept intake applications at the following Tri Counties Bank locations: Weed, Yreka, Hayfork, Burney, Anderson, and Palo Cedro.
Tri Counties Bank is not a licensed tax professional and is not providing tax preparation services. All tax preparation services are being provided by Volunteer Income Tax Assistance through JEDI, Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency, and United Way of Northern California.
VITA intake services are available:
February 10, 2025 to April 4, 2025, during branch hours, excluding weekends and holidays.
You can pick up a tax preparation packet at a participating Tri Counties Bank locations without an appointment.
An appointment is required for intake services. Contact the nearest participating branch to schedule an appointment. A trained staff member will review your completed packet with you.
